Marian Mc Bride is a Dietitian with an interest in maternal nutrition and women's health. She works in a maternity hospital providing dietary education and support to manage acute and chronic conditions in pregnancy, including those with hyperemesis gravidarum.

Kate has worked in Gynaecology services at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust for 9 years. She became a nurse specialist in Early Pregnancy in 2014. 

Three years ago she became the lead link nurse for hyperemesis. Her focus is creating the best care possible for women suffering from Hyperemesis.

Deirdre is an Irish nurse and midwife, founded the Global Village of Midwives and Global Village Network Community. MD of Health Service Design Ltd. Deirdre is an international change agent and passionate about research, co-design and implementation methodology to improve care together.

Jone Trovik is a gynaecologist, consultant at the Department of Gynaecology, Haukeland University Hospital, Bergen and professor at the Department of Clinical Science, University of Bergen, Norway.

She has been treating women with Hyperemesis for many years, focusing on improving care including appropriate use of antiemetics and nutrition.

Trovik is a former leader of the Norwegian Society for Gynaecologists and Obstetricians, and hosted the first world colloquium of Hyperemesis in Bergen 2015.

Catherine Nelson-Piercy is a Consultant Obstetric Physician at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals Trust and Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital in London. In 2010 she was awarded the title of Professor of Obstetric Medicine at King’s College London. Her undergraduate studies were at King’s College, Cambridge University and St Bartholomew’s Hospital. She trained as a physician, and was taught Obstetric Medicine by Professor Michael de Swiet.

Professor Nelson-Piercy is the immediate past President of the International Society of Obstetric Medicine (ISOM). She is founding co-editor in chief of the journal ‘Obstetric Medicine: the medicine of pregnancy.’

Professor Nelson-Piercy has been involved in the development of several evidence-based National Guidelines notably for “Contraception in Women with Heart Disease”, BTS / SIGN “Asthma in Pregnancy” and RCOG Green top guidelines on “Reducing the risk of thromboembolism during pregnancy, birth & the puerperium” and ‘Management of nausea vomiting of pregnancy and hyperemesis gravidarum”. She has over 200 publications and has edited five books and written the successful Handbook of Obstetric Medicine, now in its fifth edition. She is also one of the central physician assessors for the UK Confidential maternal deaths enquiry.
